Swiss pianist Simon Bürki is known for his warm tonal sensitivity, musical intelligence, and a deeply personal approach to the piano. Combining brilliant technique with deep musical insight, Simon focuses on the emotional depth and beauty of every sound, bringing a fresh and poetic perspective to the classical repertoire.

Born in 2000 in St. Gallen, Switzerland, Simon grew up with a unique international background. He began his musical journey in Kyiv while going to school in Switzerland, creating a broad cultural perspective from the very start. Simon pursued advanced studies at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory under Professor Andrey Pisarev. Later he moved to New York, where he earned his Master’s degree at The Juilliard School in 2026 and established a close, ongoing mentorship with Maestro Sergei Babayan.

Throughout his career, Simon has won prizes at more than 25 international competitions. His most notable successes include consecutive First Prizes at the Franz Liszt Competition in Weimar and the ‘A Step Towards Mastery’ competition in St. Petersburg. Today, he regularly performs across Europe, Asia, and the United States, appearing at major venues and festivals such as the Tonhalle Zurich, the Lucerne Festival, and the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris, where listeners value his clarity and emotional honesty.

In 2023, Simon released his debut album, Reminiscence, a tribute to Sergei Rachmaninoff, which was highly praised for its beautiful tone and nuanced expression. His second album, featuring masterworks by Schumann and Chopin, is scheduled for release in September 2026.Through his continuous work on the international stage, Simon continues to evolve an artistic voice that honors great musical traditions while remaining entirely relevant to today’s audiences.
